If you make a financial donation to Anne McLellan's campaign for re-election, you will receive an official receipt for income tax purposes. Federal tax credits available for donations are:
- 75 % of the first $400
- 50 % of the next $350
- 33 1/3 % of a donation over $750.00

Individuals who donate to political parties must be Canadian citizens or permanent residents of Canada. The maximum amount that you may donate as an individual to a candidate is $5,000. during 2004. You should be aware that corporations and trade unions may not donate more than a combined total of $1,000. per year to registered associations and candidates of the Liberal Party of Canada. This means that corporations and unions can donate up to but no more than $1,000. to the Anne McLellan Campaign, provided no other donations have been made to another Liberal candidate or registered association in 2004. Corporations and trade unions may not donate to any registered party.
All donations must be made prior to June 28, 2004. You will receive your tax credit when you file your 2004 income tax return.
