Janice's Vision of Edmonton
Janice knows inside-out the issues facing Ward 3 and Edmonton. She's 100% committed to drawing the community together to focus on key issues and presenting a strong vision for Edmonton. Here is where Janice stands on key issues and her vision for the future.
- A New Deal for Edmonton with the Federal government. Property tax is an old and poor way to collect money for running a city.
- Janice will continue to work for changes to provincial and city legislation to deal with derelict residential housing and commercial buildings in our communities
- Will work to get the province to limit the use of restricted caveats on commercial properties to a maximum of 10 years.
- Janice will champion with community partners for the enhancement of Borden Park.
- Will advocate for careful planning and stewardship of green spaces, natural areas and farmland. All neighbourhoods including suburban communities deserve the same access to quality green space.
- Janice will continue to lobby and work for the full funding of Anthony Henday Northern Bypass.
- Janice believes that crime prevention is improved with Community Policing and will work for more police on the street.
